Whole Brain Teaching

I implement many whole brain teaching methods to better involve my students in lessons. These posters remind students of some of the procedures we practice.

Word Wall

Our word wall helps support both reading and writing accuracy. These are words we've practiced because they don't fit normal spelling patterns.

Letterland

We use Letterland to learn phonics patterns to support reading and writing. We study spelling patterns each week to learn to read and write more accurately.

Math Word Wall

This concept wall helps to keep the math terms we've learned fresh in our minds.

We like to keep math fun by presenting it in different ways. Here, we wrote equations on our backs and our friends solved them.

Being comfortable is important to learning... even if comfortable is in a laundry basket.
